Welcome to our archive of all things beaten biscuit. We are from the Orrell family of Wye Mills, MD, the owners of the last company to produce Maryland beaten biscuits commercially. While we had to shutter the business after 80 years and 4 generations of bakers, our desire to see the tradition of beaten biscuits continued in Maryland is still going strong.
We have created this site as an archive of our family history as well as the long and storied history of beaten biscuits in general. We have made every attempt to find and post any available media to this site, there are no doubt photos, news stories or anecdotes that we have left out.
